Who we are

Although 1,800 miles from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) at Kings Point, New York, Colorado is home to many proud graduates, current midshipmen, plebes, and their supportive families. 

In addition to Colorado, the USMMA Rocky Mountain States Parents Association proudly includes New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.

Our mission

The Rocky Mountain States Parents Association, comprised of parent volunteers, Alumni, and their families, is dedicated to supporting and guiding our Midshipmen and their families throughout their Kings Point journey.

From reporting to Plebe Indoctrination, cheering and encouraging them on through Final Exams, Regiment Life, Sea Year requirements for our 2nd and 3rd Classmen, to celebrating the ringing of the bell after passing their U.S. Coast Guard Licensure Exams and Graduation, we're here for you...every step of the way.

Picnic in the Park! Help us welcome the Class of 2030 to our Rocky Mountain USMMA Family and give a huge congratulatory bell send-off to our class of 2026. 

We'll serve hamburgers & hot dogs, please bring a side dish or dessert to share, and a camp/fold up chair.
